DYING LIGHT 2 INFECTS E3 WITH A NEW TRAILER
Techland unveils a new trailer at the 2019 Xbox E3 briefing; The sequel is ready for the spring 2020 release
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 09, 2019) – Dying Light 2, the long-awaited sequel to the award-winning open-world survival horror action game, returns to E3 with a captivating trailer. In this document, we have a first glimpse of the new protagonist of the game as he navigates a world torn apart by the ravages of infection, where every decision counts and death is hidden on every street corner.
Presented at the Xbox E3 2019 briefing, the new Dying Light 2 The trailer offers another tantalizing glimpse of The City – a modern, post-apocalyptic outpost from the Dark Ages. Here, 15 years after the events of the dying first light, mankind awakens existence while brutal factions vie for power, and infected skulks in dark buildings and basements until dark come and go that they can recover the streets.
The trailer features the protagonist of the game, Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor whose high-flying parkour skills and brutal combat ability make him a precious asset in this ruined metropolis. Thanks to Aiden, the player will make impactful choices that will shape the world while playing.
New details about the game were also announced today, including the addition of music by famous video game composer Olivier Deriviere (A Plague Tale: Innocence, Vampyr, Remember Me, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – Freedom Cry). Deriviere was responsible for the score heard in both the new trailer and the E3 demo, and will continue to compose for the full game.
Dying Light 2 will be published by Techland and distributed by Square Enix in the Americas.
